Last Saturday

Last week I and three others were out on a ‘Rural Life Collaborative ministry project’ This week, I am writing about it! Saturday 14th January Departed Cardiff and after 58 miles, one live Army Range, and any number of cattle grids, we arrive at Llangammarch Wells Rectory in the arse end of beyond (Powys actually) and are greeted by our host and co-ordinator for the week the Revd Catherine Haynes. Moved!

Long time no blog Been all over actually in the past month. To Scotland for two weeks, then one week at home in North Wales, then a week of moving. Basically driving up and down the A470 with our stuff. I wish I could say this has been an enlightening experience, but actually it was just dead boring! except for the lovely tea and bacon sandwiches from Nigel’s cafe half way!!

Random College Entry

  • Bibliophile??

    I spent yesterday afternoon in absolute bliss… A local retired Priest was thinning out her collection of books and I accepted the generous offer of helping her out. Of course I now have to clear out my own collection to make way for the new, and perhaps indulge in another hobby, make a new bookshelf!! Or I could just let the new students at college take their pick of the books and let them donate some money… (to charity!)
