Crem

‘The most important visit of the year’ said someone…
Well it certainly was a real eye opener.

90 mins a 1200 degrees whether you like it or not! The real gut crunching moment came when they were talking about cleaning the insides – re-bricking etc. Not a job for the nervous.

Although a good visit to reassure the uneasy bereaved, I shall be buried in a wood under a tree!

I mean, 90 mins is a bit quick to depart in!

The gut-crunching bit for me was the smell! After our crem visit we went back to college where lunch that day was – yes – roast pork. Never have I been so glad to be a veggie!

Bells, bells, bells, no not the whisky! Can’t help reflecting that the useful college bell that tolls at meals and chapel must be very odd for those around the college. We know when to salivate or kneel, (very pavlovian). But for those living around us the bells ringing out every day four or five times a day must be quite strange. It’s useful for us, but is it really annoying for everyone else?? I may have to ask some of those I know who live on the road beside us what they think. Perhaps it is just another unknown ritual!!
