Cantemus

Cantemus is a chamber choir, they are based in Wales and sang in the college chapel at the end of term.
The music they produced was fantastic, it really touched the soul. Something about unaccompanied voices is so enchanting it grips the imagination and forces you out of yourself. This was especially evident in one piece they sang. It was O Magnum Mysterium by a contemporary composer who I had not heard of Morten Lauridsen. The quality of the singing and the musical ability to delve deep within the person listening was magical. I can thoroughly recommend you go and search it out!! It made my Christmas…

  • Out of the mouths…

    While doing Zen…. I wrote this entry between breath ONE and breath TWO, I organised my diary for the day, decided what to do this afternoon, worked out who I needed to speak to and telephone etc etc etc. Avoiding breakfast: Quality avoidance techniques no. 1: Make a random comment about God walking on water!
